Fees and terms I charge £50 per 50 minute session and normally expect to see clients once a week.. For online counselling I charge £40 per session. The first session is for assessment. It's an opportunity for us both to get a feel for one another and for me to understand what you are hoping for from the therapy. It's important that you are able to feel comfortable with me and confident that I can help you with the aspects of your life you want to explore. I recommend you take a few days to consider if you want to make further appointments with me. If you do, I suggest another review after six sessions. If either one of us does not feel that I am the right therapist for you, I will try to help you find the right way forward. Your sessions are confidential. I act with discretion and do not discuss you or your therapy with any person other than my clinical supervisor. The only circumstances in which I would break confidentiality are if I think there is a serious risk you will harm yourself or another person or if I am required to give evidence in a court of law. I would always seek to consult you before doing so. This practice is in accordance with the Ethical Framework of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), of which I am a full member. If you have any cause for concern about my work with you, please raise this with me first, but if you wish to make a formal complaint, this should be made to BACP.
